About the Data Innovation Index
The Index compares your desire to use data innovation in your business and your data capabilities to give you a better view of where you actually are and if you are potentially wasting money on expensive data transformation projects without having got your data basics right.
We use 64 data points based on four data themes to plot your data index. The score allows you to compare yourself against your peers.
We use a 16-question multiple choice survey based around four data themes: Fundamentals, Information, Insights and Transformation. Each data theme captures details about how your business understands its data, how data is managed and how it is used to transform your business.
We analyse the answers from the survey and plot the results against a reference curve to show where your results place you. We then apply a “data drag” showing where your use of data could be hampered by weak data capabilities around quality and governance.
We have identified eight archetypes (or character types) relating to behaviours around data management. These are used in a playful way to describe characteristics about how you treat your data. These are detailed over-the-page.
We create the summary report seen to the left as a “thank you” for completing the survey. If you are interested to know more about the findings, we can prepare a more detailed report and show how we can help improve your data innovation readiness.
